For those who are visiting this page, I wrote this prayer as a gift for you in case you may be experiencing distress. I hope you find comfort in these words below:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Like a child who relies so sweetly and faithfully for daily nourishment, I come now to You and humbly ask for your spiritual, physical, and emotional healing and sustenance.

In community with our blessed heavenly parents Mary and Joseph and all the angels and saints, please deliver me from any mental anguish, physical disease, acute or compounded stress, and renew my mind, body, and soul, so that I may be able to love You, my family, friends, colleagues, strangers, and myself in complete wholeness.

Please fill me with your Truth and gift of wisdom in discerning the best course of action for my continued health and well-being. Lead me to compassionate and competent individuals who will guide my healing journey, be it family, friends, strangers, medical professionals, such as nurses, doctors and surgeons, spiritual directors, counselors, therapists, support and prayer groups, coaches, mentors, and other resources or relationships: as You shine your healing light upon our health endeavor, be our protection against temptations, wickedness, evil, dark forces, and spells present in the world. Help me embrace emotional, physical, and psychological pain that may present itself during any treatment or healing modality.

Lord, You have so graciously given us fruit for food and leaves for healing. With gratitude, I ask You to reveal the right nutrition You have cultivated for my body to eat, and any medicines, therapies, or practices that would help bring me to full and complete health. Breathe life into every cell, tissue, bone, and fluid that exists in my body and apply your healing touch to any unhealthy cells due to genetics, environmental toxins, food impurities, situations and circumstances, ill-willed intentions, actions, and behaviors, be it my own or others. In thanksgiving, I implore You to please heal:

Heal any infirmities resulting from causes known or unknown, inflicted by my own actions or sins, or imposed by unjust actions, trauma, and sins of others. Guide me always to create and sustain healthy boundaries in my relationships. Please deliver me from any unforgiveness, anger, and resentment dwelling in my soul. Please break any strongholds to past, present, and generational trauma:

[pause and name any personal or generational trauma(s)]

Please purify this temple of the Holy Spirit, tame my imagination, redirect any traumatic, or undesired memories to the foot of the Cross, and gracefully soften or remove the impact of any images from my mind that keep me from focusing on what is true, good, and beautiful. Help me to always see that my identity is in You.

Forgive me Lord if I ever neglected myself by failing to nourish my mind, body, and soul in a way that pleases You. Help me forgive those in my closest circles, extended circles, and any societal structures that showed lack of care and concern for me in my time of need and made optimal health difficult to achieve. Open their hearts to love and serve You.

Help me grieve any of these losses, bind any anxiety, fear, or worry, and help me be comforted by the shedding of any tears that have built stone around my heart.

Lord, I thank You for the gift of life. As I inhale each breath that You have given me, I call upon You to scan my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet and infuse all areas with your joy and abundance of life so that I may resonate with You in perfect harmony and fulfill the mission You have bestowed to me.
